It is a National Historic District in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in Horry County. It consists of 89 contributing structures as well as one contributing location. They refer to the period after the financial collapse of Woodside Brothers, the company that built the Ocean Forest Hotel and Country Club in the late 1920s, when Myrtle Beach was seeing a surge in home development. The Myrtle Heights and Oak Park sections opened in 1933 and 1935, respectively. The majority of these oceanfront homes are two-story frame structures with one- or two-story connected garages, two-story detached garage flats, or one-story attached servants’ quarters, built between 1925 and 1945. They reflect a wide range of popular architectural styles, the most common of which is the neoclassical style.

Between Myrtle Beach and Conway, on the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway, is the Carolina Forest area, which is located north of US 501. This master-planned community is primarily a residential area, but it also has some fantastic food and shopping options!

You won’t have to travel far in Carolina Forest to get wonderful shopping, especially at the Tanger Outlets on Highway 501. A gorgeous concentration of pine trees and hardwood forests may also be found here, as well as various golf courses and recreation centres. Conservation has been established in over half of the 25-square-mile region. Wheels of Yesteryear and Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament are both located near the Carolina Forest region.

Konig, South Carolina

Konig is a populated place and unincorporated community in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. In Myrtle Beach, it’s near the crossroads of US Route 17 and US Route 501. There are several existing and upcoming high end property options to choose from in this beautiful and peaceful city. Konig sits at an elevation of 23 feet and is located at latitude 33.712 and longitude -78.922.

Springmaid Beach is a suburb and resort community spanning the city borders of Myrtle Beach in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. It’s on Ocean Boulevard near Farrow Parkway, just north of Myrtle Beach State Park.

The DoubleTree Resort is well-known in the area. Colonel Elliott White Springs, a World War I Ace Fighter Pilot, bought 27 acres (11 ha) of coastal land in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 1948. Hilton Hotels bought the Springmaid Beach Resort in 2016. The property was refurbished and renamed DoubleTree Resort by Hilton. There is also a fishing dock in the region. With a length of 1060 feet, the pier was the longest in Myrtle Beach. The pier was rebuilt beginning in May 2019 and reopened in July 2020.
