Sponsor Our ArticlesHey, Myrtle Beach! Are you looking for a fun way to kick off your weekend while supporting a good cause? Well, mark your calendars because Valor Fest ’24 is happening this Saturday at Tidal Creek Brewhouse, and you won’t want to miss it!
Let’s talk about one of the stars of this weekend’s event—meet Mr. Finn. This lovable pup needs some much-needed hip surgery, and guess what? This festival is raising funds to help him get the medical care he needs. But that’s just the beginning! Mr. Finn will also be making a very special appearance at Valor Fest, where he will meet his new owner—a brave United States Marine combat veteran. How’s that for a tail-wagging surprise?
Valor Fest ’24 kicks off at 9 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., packed with activities for the whole family. You can lace up your running shoes for the Patriotic Pups 5K race, which has been specially designed to support our local police, military, and service dogs! And don’t worry if running isn’t your thing; there’s a Pints 4 Heroes cornhole tournament where you can enjoy some friendly competition while sipping on ’ brews.
This event isn’t just about having fun; it’s about honoring our local heroes and their loyal service animals. Dr. Tom Walsh, the owner of PrimePet Rehabilitation Therapy, is one of the masterminds behind the event and shared why it’s so important: “We are really fired up for this Saturday’s event. Not only do we get to honor local heroes but also the service animals that they protect.”
The money raised doesn’t just help Mr. Finn but goes directly to benefit Joint Task Force K9s, an organization dedicated to helping veterans with PTSD through the support of service dogs. Keith Holland, the CEO of Joint Task Force Canines, highlighted the significance of these events: “It’s these types of events that Dr. Tom has helped put together and Tidal Creek, that allows us to raise the money that we need to provide these service dogs to our veterans and our law enforcement and our local heroes.”
Don’t miss out on this heartwarming and exciting day at Tidal Creek Brewhouse in Myrtle Beach. With events running all day, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re racing for glory or cheering from the sidelines, you’ll be making a difference in the lives of our heroes.
If you want more information about Valor Fest ’24, feel free to reach out to PrimePet Rehabilitation Therapy at (843) 839-5335 or send them an email. Let’s come together to support a great cause, celebrate our local heroes, and, of course, have a fantastic time!
So gather your friends and family, put on your most patriotic gear, and head to Tidal Creek Brewhouse this Saturday. Let’s rally together for Mr. Finn and all the other amazing service animals that make such a difference in our community. Together, we can show our love and appreciation for our veterans and the four-legged friends that support them!
