In Florida, totals of over 19 inches were recorded in Lake City and nearly as much in Parrish and Sarasota. Summerville in South Carolina was drenched with a record 17.27 inches, with similarly high totals in Green Pond and Edisto Beach. In Georgia, Rincon recorded 13.44 inches of rain.

As Debby churns menacingly off the coast, various warnings have been issued for the East Coast. Flood warnings remain in effect for parts of eastern Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Residents in these areas are urged to exercise extreme caution, particularly when driving on waterlogged roads to avoid accidents.
