It was a joyous day in South Carolina as Sen. Tim Scott and his fiancée, Mindy Noce, said their vows in an intimate ceremony at Seacoast Church in Charleston. The Republican Senator and his bride, noted interior designer, exchanged vows amidst family members, close friends, and a multitude of prominent political figures.
The couple, Scott, 58, and Noce, 47, clasped hands and pledged their lifelong commitment to each other inside the beautiful chapel of Charleston’s Seacoast Church. They later shared the news of their nuptials through a heartwarming post on social media.
“Tonight, we promised to cherish and nourish each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives,” Senator Scott wrote on his account. “Mindy, you’ve made me the happiest man alive. I love you.” The post supplemented the heartfelt words with a Bible verse from Matthew 19:6, emphasizing the sanctity of their union, “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
The ceremony was presided over by Seacoast Church’s founding pastor, Greg Surratt – a long-time friend and mentor to Senator Scott. The wedding party consisted of Scott’s brother and Noce’s best friend, and included several readings from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, and a selection of New Testament scriptures, symbolizing the couple’s deep faith.
The newlyweds shared their first dance to the romantic strains of “Swayin’ to the Music” by Johnny Rivers, creating a memorable moment for all present.
The guest list was a veritable who’s who of political figures, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. John Thune, Sen. James Lankford, Sen. John Barrasso, and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, among others.
Celebratory messages and well-wishes also poured in from across the political spectrum, including from the former President, who congratulated the pair on their new journey together via social media.
The Senator’s bride, Mindy Noce, is an acclaimed interior designer in South Carolina. Being part of a military family, with her father serving in the Navy and brothers in military school, her strength and resilience shone through even on her big day. The pickleball enthusiasts met through mutual church friends and got engaged earlier this year.
As their shared love for reading the Bible and playing pickleball goes on, the couple’s family and friends, alongside the people of South Carolina, look forward to witnessing the new chapter in Senator Scott and Mindy Noce’s lives.
