Save money & landfill space at CCU’s massive yard sale

CONWAY, S.C. – Bargain shoppers get ready – this weekend is Coastal Carolina University’s annual yard sale. Campus Salvage is a collaborative effort between Sustain Coastal, University Housing, and Public Safety. They work together to keep unwanted items from landing in the landfill.

Turning Trash into Treasure

As college students move out of campus housing, they donate unwanted items. Volunteers sort the donated items to sell at the massive Campus Salvage Sale. In the past, there have been microwaves, mini-fridges, TVs, furniture, and more. Unsold items are donated to local charities.

Encouraging Environmental Responsibility

Organizers hope the sale inspires others to recycle, reuse, and keep items out of landfills. By participating in this yard sale, shoppers not only save money but also make a positive impact on the environment.

Event Details

The Campus Salvage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 11 from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at Coastal Carolina University’s YY Parking Lot on Highway 544 in Conway. The address is 1133 Highway 544 in Conway. Please note that the sale is cash-only, and there’s a $5 entrance fee.

Don’t miss this opportunity to find great deals while contributing to sustainability efforts at Coastal Carolina University. Join us at the Campus Salvage Sale and help make a difference!
