In the early hours of Tuesday, authorities in Myrtle Beach got an unexpected surprise. Responding to an alarm activation at a residence on 12th Avenue South, the Myrtle Beach Police Department was greeted by nine feline culprits. Instead of intruders, they were met by eight kittens and their mother, prompting the police department to label them as ‘purr-petrators.’
Upon investigation, it appeared that the feline family was merely in search of a new home. “After a few ‘interviews,’ it turns out they’re just looking for a good home,” the police department shared on its social media.
According to the responding authorities, all the cats found on the scene are in good health. The mother cat and her eight kittens are safe and are currently being taken care of. This strange yet heartening incident has caught the attention of local residents, with many applauding the police department for their compassionate handling of the situation.
Alongside the ‘purr-petrating’ cats, several other stories are trending locally. Recent sports activity has seen notable performances from teams such as No. 24 NC State and North Carolina, garnering significant attention. There is also substantial interest in the upcoming 2024 season, with teams aiming to make strong starts. Fayetteville and Raleigh Durham are other regions that have been active in the news lately.
