In a recent turn of events regarding PALM Charter High School’s leadership changes, the newly appointed principal, Jeff Peterson, has shared his plans for the institution. This follows a wave of unrest owing to the abrupt departure of former principal Avery Moore, which sparked outrage among the school community.

Peterson is a seasoned professional in the field of education, having served as a principal, vice-principal, and superintendent in Massachusetts over a period of almost two decades. I tell the parents they never need an appointment to come and talk to me. If I’m available I will take time and talk to parents about any concerns they have. That’s my job to help them,” added Peterson.

Among the concerned stakeholders in the recent controversy is Rick Rivers, a parent who has shown interest in assuming an open seat on the school board. “As a potential candidate I’d like to learn more about the process and if things need to be changed or policies need to be put in place so this never happens again,” Rivers stated. “I want to be a part of that.”
