Good morning, Myrtle Beach! We’re kicking off this Tuesday with some delightful weather. If you’re heading out, you’ll want to grab a light jacket for the morning chill, but by the afternoon, it’s all about those short sleeves! Expect temperatures to climb into the **upper 70s** and even flirt with the low 80s through Thursday. It’s a fantastic time to get outside and soak up some sun!
Tonight, brace yourselves for a mild evening with lows hanging out in the **mid to upper 50s**—definitely above average for this time of year! If you’re over in the Pee Dee, you might see temperatures reach the low 80s midweek, while we’ll keep it cozy in the upper 70s to near 80 right along the coast. Sounds like a perfect October for beach walks and adventures!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen significant rainfall here in Myrtle Beach. In fact, since **Hurricane Helene** decided to pay us an unwelcome visit on September 26 and 27, our little slice of paradise has been dry as a desert! Just a tiny **trace** of rain was reported in Florence this month, which is less than 0.01 inches. To put that into perspective, the last time we had such little rain in October in Florence was **back in 2000**. Over in North Myrtle Beach and Lumberton? It’s been a complete blank—**0.00 inches** of rain! If this continues until the end of the month, N. Myrtle Beach will set a new record, while Lumberton will tie a record from 1953. Looks like we might need to keep those umbrellas tucked away for now!
Looking ahead, we might see a touch of change by the end of the week. A dry cold front is expected to sweep through on Friday. While you won’t feel much of a difference in temperatures initially, there’s a stronger colder front on its way Sunday. So, don’t be surprised if temperatures dip by **4 to 8 degrees**! Just enough to keep the evenings crisp and perfect for those cozy fall nights.
Speaking of cozy evenings, can you believe Halloween is just a week away? If you’re one of those last-minute shoppers (we won’t judge!), now’s the time to order that costume! From witches to superheroes, the options are endless, and let’s be honest, nothing adds to the fun like a great outfit! And while you’re at it, don’t forget to get your hands on some festive dinnerware. A cute set can really elevate your holiday decorations and inspire some seasonal vibes.
So, whether you’re at the beach, enjoying a walk down the boardwalk, or just hanging out with friends, take a moment to appreciate this beautiful weather we’ve got right now! With bright sunny days ahead and pleasant temperatures, it’s just the perfect time to enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer! Keep your eyes on our skies, and stay informed about what’s happening with the weather. Here’s to an awesome week ahead!
