Myrtle Beach, S.C. is gearing up for quite the weather mix this week! We’ve got some cirrus clouds rolling in this evening, a sign that Hurricane Milton is sending us some love (or should we say clouds). As the evening progresses, expect those clouds to thicken and give way to a much cooler and breezier atmosphere.
If you’re out and about tonight, don’t forget to grab a light jacket! The temp is going to feel pretty cool as we transition into Thursday morning. There’s a nice wave of cool and dry air moving in, which is sure to spice up the coast’s usual warm and sticky vibe! Our forecast shows a mix of mostly to cloudy skies tomorrow, particularly in the morning.
As for what’s on the horizon, we might hear a few raindrops dancing on our rooftops, especially closer to the shore. The presence of Hurricane Milton and a passing cold front will whip up some winds, making it feel a bit fresher. Get ready for those **sustained winds** of 15-25 mph, and gusts that could hit 35 mph along the coast. If you’ve got plans for a beach outing tomorrow, the wind and a possible sprinkle might put a little hiccup in the day!
As we move into the afternoon and evening, though, the winds should start to calm and we might even see a few breaks in the clouds! That’s a win for those of us wanting to enjoy the outdoors. Temperatures on Thursday are looking to hang around the low 70s and possibly dip into the upper 60s, so it’s definitely a day for cool-weather attire.
Now, here’s the good news—by the time we roll into Friday, we should be greeted with some sunny conditions that will last right into the weekend! Friday’s forecast is calling for brilliant sunshine and temperatures settling nicely in the low 70s. If you’ve been dreaming of a beach day, this sounds like the perfect time to throw on your shades and hit the sand!
As we enjoy Saturday through Monday, we will likely see those temps warming up a bit, reaching into the upper 70s to low 80s. Nighttime temperatures will cozy up in the upper 50s to mid-60s—not too shabby for a fall night!
Just when you think Mother Nature can’t surprise us any more, another cold front is looming! By Tuesday, we might witness a drop back down to the upper 60s to low 70s for daytime highs, and overnight temperatures could dip to the mid to upper 40s—a chilly reminder that fall is here to stay!
So there you have it, Myrtle Beach! From breezy evenings to sunny weekends, the weather is shaping up to give us a little bit of everything. Whether you’re planning to hit the beach or just enjoy a relaxing day at home with a warm cup of coffee, we hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery and ever-changing skies. Keep those jackets ready, but don’t forget your sunscreen for the sunny days ahead!
