Hello Myrtle Beach! As we dive into the evening, we’re greeted with cloudy skies and a few light showers scattered about. It looks like tonight’s low temperatures are going to hang around the mid-50s if you’re closer to the borderbelt, inching up to the near 60s in the Pee Dee region, and hanging out in the comfy mid-60s right here at the coast.
Good news for Monday! As the day rolls on, we can expect some sunshine to peek through those clouds. Highs are predicted to land somewhere in the upper 70s to low 80s, which is just about perfect. Plus, we’re in for a little break from the humidity, making it feel even more fall-like around here. After a steamy summer, we’re certainly ready for this refreshing change!
Looking at the rest of the workweek, temperatures will gradually rise—so pack your summer wear! By midweek, we should see the mercury hitting the mid-80s. But worry not; the weather is looking relatively tame until we hit Thursday night.
As we’ll soon be welcoming some tropical moisture, it’s important to stay informed. We’re looking at rainfall amounts up to an inch forecasted for the Carolinas, starting from Thursday night and running through Saturday. This weather is courtesy of what’s being called Potential Tropical Cyclone Six, which is swirling around in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico right now.
That’s right folks—before you know it, this system is expected to get an upgrade and become Tropical Storm Francine by tomorrow. Francine is tracking to head north and is likely to strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane before striking the Texas/Louisiana border this Wednesday. While we are not in its direct path, it could still bring some rain our way, so let’s keep our eyes peeled!
If you love cooking or know someone who does, you’ll want to hear about the amazing kitchen gadgets available on Amazon. From modern and unique knives to those nifty little time-saving tools that make cooking a breeze, there’s plenty to get excited about as the fall cooking season kicks into gear.
And for all the homeowners out there, don’t forget about your lawn! While the weather shifts, it’s the perfect time to dethatch your lawn to help it stay healthy and strong. Timing is everything, and doing it when the grass is at its peak strength will yield the best results!
As we usher in this change of season, let’s soak in these mild temperatures and keep an eye on the weather—there’s always something brewing in Myrtle Beach! Stay tuned for updates and happy Sunday Funday!
