This fall, Myrtle Beach is all set to showcase a spectacular collection of art at the Franklin G Burroughs-Simeon B Chapin Art Museum. The highly anticipated 47th Annual National Exhibition of the South Carolina Watermedia Society kicks off on October 3 and will run through December 29.

Opening Reception Details

Mark your calendars! There’s an exciting opening reception on the same day, October 3, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.. This event will be the perfect chance to enjoy some refreshments while getting an exclusive first look at the incredible array of artworks. This year’s exhibition showcases nearly 180 entries, making it one of the most competitive shows the society has seen in years! According to Victoria Alger, President of the South Carolina Watermedia Society, “We are very proud to showcase the most elite artists” during this event. That’s quite fitting given the rich artistic heritage embedded in this venue!
