Myrtle Beach Comes Alive for a Veterans Day Celebration
It was an exciting morning in Myrtle Beach as hundreds of folks lined up with smiles and good spirits outside the Veterans Cafe and Grille to celebrate Veterans Day in style! The lively atmosphere was made even more special with a live taping of the Fox & Friends segment, titled Breakfast with Friends. The restaurant came alive with patriotic energy, as the crew led patrons in enthusiastic chants of “USA!” during the filming.
The Warm Welcome for Veterans
Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt was in attendance, mingling with veterans and diners, snapping pictures, and soaking in the joy of the moment. The beloved show was broadcast live on numerous TVs throughout the bustling restaurant, bringing a sense of excitement to everyone present.
Operated by the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center, the Veterans Cafe and Grille goes above and beyond to cater to veterans in the Grand Strand area. The restaurant is also home to a delightful military mini museum, adding an extra layer of significance to the venue. Visitors could view memorabilia honoring the sacrifices of the brave men and women who served, all while enjoying delicious food.
A Line Like No Other
With a glow in the air and a sense of purpose, the restaurant was completely packed during the taping, with eager patrons lined up outside, waiting for their chance to get in. According to CEO Scott Dulebohn, he was greeted with the sight of some eager guests already waiting when he arrived at the crack of dawn—specifically at 3:45 a.m. That’s dedication!
Dulebohn estimated that around 300 people showed up to partake in the festivities. Among them was local resident Magali Leogrande, who shared her experience: “I didn’t expect the crowd that was here this morning. We got here at 5:30 in the morning. The wait wasn’t too bad because we got to talk to wonderful people.” Her enthusiasm echoed the sentiments of many that morning.
A Musical Surprise
But the fun didn’t stop there! As the event wrapped up after three fabulous hours, Air Force veteran and country music singer Tyler Kinch took to the stage to debut his new song, “Frontlines”. The live performance brought cheers and applause from the audience, making the day even more memorable for everyone in attendance.
Community Spirit Shines Brightly
In addition to the live taping, the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center organized its fourth-annual Welcome Home Golf Tournament in nearby Little River on Veterans Day, further promoting camaraderie and community spirit among veterans and supporters alike.
As the sun began to set on this unforgettable day, it was clear that Myrtle Beach had come together in a big way to honor those who have served our country. With food, fun, and meaningful conversations filling the air, it was a true celebration of community, gratitude, and the remarkable stories of our veterans.
So whether you were among the lucky ones who made it inside the Veterans Cafe or simply cheering from afar, it’s safe to say that this Veterans Day will be remembered as a day of joy, respect, and newfound friendships across Myrtle Beach!
