Myrtle Beach, SC – A local man previously released on bond in connection with a nightclub shooting, found himself back in custody. Charles Dylan Lowrimore was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm after voluntarily turning himself in to the authorities.
According to a report by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, Lowrimore was reportedly involved in a burglary on Lamb Road that transpired on May 7th. The victim claimed that Lowrimore, along with two other individuals, arrived uninvited at his residence. He further alleged that Lowrimore lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked in his waistband.
The report describes a confrontation where the victim told Lowrimore “that if he points that gun at him he better be ready to use it”. Lowrimore allegedly took out the gun, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to shoot. Subsequently, Lowrimore placed a call to the sheriff’s office after another suspect was rushed to the hospital with a significant laceration from a broken window.
Presently, Lowrimore is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center, with his bond set at $150,000. This recent event marks another chapter in Lowrimore’s troubled legal history. Previously, he was implicated in a February shooting outside 3001 Nightlife in Myrtle Beach, where a bullet grazed a bystander. He was later released on a $45,000 bond.
In a separate incident in March, Lowrimore was arrested after he allegedly accidentally shot himself with an unregistered weapon and deceitfully reported the incident. Following these events, the legal scrutiny around Lowrimore increases.
As new charges are filed, Lowrimore’s case presents additional complexity to his ongoing legal issues. As legal proceedings progress and further investigation takes place, more information becomes available concerning these allegations against him.
Public safety remains a paramount concern and instances such as these further stress the importance of firearm regulation and responsible gun ownership. The case continues to unfold and highlights the pressing issues pertinent to the legal and social framework of Myrtle Beach.
The police are urging any witnesses or individuals with information related to this case to step forward and aid in the investigation.
