Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach are organizing a school supply drive, scheduled to coincide with the annual tax-free weekend in August. The campaign, known as “Fill the Bus”, aims to recreate the back-to-school shopping experience for many families in preparation for the 2024 to 2025 school year.
From August 2 to 4, volunteers are expected to gather school supply donations for Horry County children at an entertaining community event. The meet will be held at the Harley Davidson locations at 4710 South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach and at 4002 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach.
Slots for volunteers are available at the following times:
Those interested in participating can sign up by sending a message to the designated Help 4 Kids email address or by calling at (843)340-1874.
The supply drive, being held outdoors, will continue regardless of weather conditions. Volunteers will collect school supplies and clear backpacks for the forthcoming school year, catering to the most fundamental needs of local students. The initiative epitomizes the community spirit of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, as they work towards ensuring every child has an optimal beginning to the new academic year.
