School supplies collection event
Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach – In a bid to prep children for the incoming 2024 to 2025 school year, a school supply drive will be held in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach over the tax-free weekend in August. The “Fill the Bus” drive, organised by Harley Davidson, aims to source donations for Horry County, South Carolina, school children from volunteers.
The “Fill the Bus” event will take place from August 2 to 4. Volunteers can register for a time slot at the Harley Davidson locations at both 4710 South Kings Highway and 4002 Highway 17 South. All volunteers will be involved in gathering school supplies for children in Horry County.
As per the event schedule, volunteers for Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson locations are required on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the following slots:
– Friday, August 2: 9 am – 12 pm; 12 pm – 3 pm; 3 pm – 5 pm
– Saturday, August 3: 9 am – 12 pm; 12 pm – 3 pm; 3 pm – 5 pm
– Sunday, August 4: 10:45 am – 1:30 pm; 1:30 pm – 4 pm
This community outreach program will be held outdoors, come rain or shine. Volunteers will be responsible for gathering school supplies, including clear backpacks, in preparation for the 2024 to 2025 school year. The drive aims to support children by providing them with the necessary tools for their education.
Those wishing to volunteer their time to this cause can reach out to Help 4 Kids via email or by a phone call to (843)340-1874. This initiative ensures that students in Horry County start the new school year with all the necessary supplies.
These school supply drives help ensure equal access to quality education by providing materials that families may otherwise not be able to afford. Let’s join hands and make sure no child is left
behind due to a lack of supplies. Let’s fill the bus for a good cause.
