Myrtle Beach Man Faces Charges of Grand Larceny and Burglary

In a turn of events at Myrtle Beach, a local man named David Kyon King was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including three counts of grand larceny, one count of burglary, and a count of resisting arrest. The incident took place at 601 Seaboard Street on Monday.

Detailed Account Of The Incident

A witness who was present on the scene reported they observed King browsing around several parked vehicles before settling into a blue Ford Explorer. King appeared to switch his clothes while he was inside the car. Following this, he proceeded towards the front desk of the building.

According to the witness account, King then committed an alleged act of burglary and stole car keys from the office. Trying to escape in a silver 2019 Chevrolet Traverse parked nearby, he found himself blocked by other vehicles. This prompted him to switch to a nearby white 2018 Chevrolet Traverse.

A Not-So-Perfect Getaway

Undeterred by the situation, King reportedly asked the same witness to fill up a ditch with a backhoe loader, ostensibly to help him drive across it and escape. It was at this moment that the officers from the local police department arrived at the scene. Sensing imminent capture, King attempted to flee on foot, but was soon caught by the law enforcement officers and taken into custody.

On-going Investigation

Investigations further revealed that the front door of the dealership office had not been properly secured the previous night, lending King the opportunity to commit the alleged crimes. The dealership owner has confirmed this lapse in security.

King is now in custody, facing charges based on the investigative findings. Further proceedings shall follow as the investigators gather more information.
