Sponsor Our ArticlesGolf lovers, mark your calendars! Myrtle Beach, the beautiful coastal city in South Carolina known for its stunning beaches and vibrant golf scene, is all set to host the Myrtle Beach Classic for the second consecutive year. Scheduled to take place from May 8-11, 2025, this tournament promises to bring a fantastic time for both professional golfers and enthusiastic fans!
Last year, in 2024, professional golfers took on the enchanting challenge of 72 holes while navigating through the lush grounds of the Dunes Golf & Beach Club. With an array of fascinating flora and fauna surrounding the course, the Myrtle Beach Classic was not only a test of skill but also a visual feast for the spectators. As the swings echoed across the greens, fans watched closely, cheering on their favorite players against the picturesque backdrop of the coastline.
Creating a successful tournament is no easy feat, and a huge shoutout goes to the enthusiastic volunteers who helped make the first Myrtle Beach Classic such a hit! For the upcoming 2025 event, organizers are on the lookout for both returning volunteers and new faces ready to jump in. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring everything runs smoothly, from hushing crowds to assisting walking scorers.
If you’re thinking about volunteering, here’s what you need to know: returning volunteers can start registering on January 15, 2025, while newcomers can sign up beginning on February 5, 2025. With various positions available—such as gallery managers, walking scorers, standard bearers, and shot locators—there’s a spot for everyone willing to lend a hand!
To join the volunteer team, there’s a bit of a commitment! Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 18 hours throughout the tournament and should sport their own grey pants or shorts. There’s a fee for participating, which covers the cost of a fancy polo shirt and hat you’ll wear as part of the volunteer uniform. It may seem like a small price to pay to be part of such an exciting event and share in the golf action!
In a wonderful opportunity to engage young enthusiasts, the tournament is also welcoming youth volunteers aged between 13 and 18. However, specific positions may have age requirements, so it’s best to check ahead and see what roles are open!
The Myrtle Beach Classic is set to not only entertain but also showcase the dynamic golf atmosphere the city has to offer. With its sandy beaches, stylish resorts, and top-notch golf courses, Myrtle Beach is a golfer’s paradise. As the countdown begins for the 2025 Classic, excitement is palpable among fans and players alike!
So whether you’re planning to volunteer or simply join as a spectator, make sure you’re part of the action in this pulsating golf tournament. Don’t miss your chance to witness some incredible talent on the links!
