Conway Gears Up for the Exciting Start of Men’s Golf Season!

Welcome to Conway, South Carolina, where excitement is brewing as the Coastal Carolina men’s golf team prepares to kick off its 2024-25 season. We’re just days away from a spectacular showdown known as the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate, happening from September 8-10 at the stunning Grande Dunes Golf Club.

Golf Fans, Get Ready!

Mark your calendars, folks! The three-day tournament will see 13 schools strutting their stuff on the greens, giving fans plenty of action to cheer on. Competing schools include Appalachian State, Campbell, East Carolina, Elon, Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, James Madison, Maryland, Old Dominion, Santa Clara, Texas El Paso, Texas State, and Western Carolina. Quite the lineup, right?

Meet the Teams and Players

As Coastal Carolina gears up for the big event, the anticipation builds around their seasoned roster. Fans can look forward to seeing familiar faces like Trey Crenshaw, Ludvig Erikson, Owen Kim, Jack Lee, and Trace McDonald competing. On top of that, the team welcomes some fresh talent ready to make waves—introducing newcomers Max Bengtsson, Max Brud, Coleman Ferguson, and Drew Sykes.

Head Coach’s Thoughts

Head coach Jacob Wilner shared his excitement, stating, “We are excited to kick off our 2024-25 season and also host the inaugural Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate.” He’s inviting all Chanticleer fans and everyone in the community to come down, soak up the atmosphere, and support the fantastic display of golf at the Grande Dunes Resort.

What to Expect!

The action kicks off with first-round plays on Sunday at a bright and early 8:00 a.m. ET. Coastal Carolina will hit the greens with its first tee time scheduled at around 8:50 a.m. ET on the par-72, 7,578-yard course. That’s a lot of ground to cover, but these athletes are trained to give us all they’ve got!
