Keeping affordability as its prime focus, the inaugural fares for the route are all set to start at an inviting $39 one way.
The fledgling airline, which started its service from Myrtle Beach International Airport in February this year, already transports passengers to seven different locations. The new seasonal route, introduced keeping in mind the increased demand for travel during the holiday season, aims at providing passengers a much-needed, economic travel option.
Breeze Airways, the brainchild of David Neeleman, who also stands as the founder of JetBlue Airways, has been gradually extending its service destinations. The latest addition to this growing list is the scenic city of Akron-Canton, Ohio. The seasonal flight service will be operational on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering convenient options for tourists and locals alike.
Alongside Akron-Canton, Breeze Airways currently offers flights to Charleston West Virginia, Harford CT, Providence RI, Tampa FL, Westchester County-New York, NY, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA. Based on the feedback of the passengers and market demand, the airline may extend the service to other days of the week or introduce services to more destinations in the future.
Local businesses and tourist agencies foresee the new flight route as a positive development, expected to boost the tourism trade of Myrtle Beach during the holiday season. With seamless connectivity to Ohio from Myrtle Beach, it is anticipated that an influx of tourists will grace this coastal city, enhancing local business and contributing to the overall growth of the economy.
