Myrtle Beach Hero Earns Promotion to Deputy Fire Chief

A Dedicated Servant

Myrtle Beach, known for its fantastic beaches and crystal clear waters, has witnessed the rise of a hero from amongst its diligent public service ranks. Division Chief Bradley Kempf of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department who has served with ardor and devotion to the community ever since he joined the department in 2005, has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief.

Bradley Kempf embarked on his career in the department as a Firefighter-Paramedic and quickly proved his mettle. His passion, hard work, and commitment to community service soon saw him rise through the ranks, moving from shift Lieutenant to shift Captain. Kempf’s steady rise culminated in his appointment as the Division Chief of Administration in 2020; a role he played dutifully and deservingly.

A Promotion Well Deserved

On Friday May 3rd of this year, consistent excellence in service earned Deputy Chief Kempf a well-deserved promotion. Applauding this remarkable achievement, the Myrtle Beach Fire Department posted on social media, commenting on Kempf’s highly decorated career and his dedication that reaches beyond the confines of the department.

Even outside his professional duties, Kempf has been an active participant in community service programs. He presently serves on the HGTC Emergency Management Advisory Board and Paramedic Advisory Committee. Moreover, he holds the esteemed position of coordinator for the Pee Dee Regional Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Team.

This multi-hazard team closely oversees the maintenance of all its assets to ensure its prepared effectiveness to deploy in response to any Type III hazard request. The role requires astute attention to detail, to guarantee the team’s readiness at all times. Kempf’s commitment and exemplary performance in this role have been instrumental in ensuring the team’s high utility to the community.

The Future in Sight

As the new Deputy Fire Chief, Kempf is expected to play an even more crucial role in the department’s day-to-day operations. The position will allow him to use his wealth of expertise and experience to serve the people of Myrtle Beach in more impactful ways. Kempf’s robust and dedicated leadership will undoubtedly prove significant in maintaining the high standards of the Myrtle Beach Fire Dept.

As a proud member of the Myrtle Beach community, we at HERE News Network extend our congratulations to Deputy Fire Chief Bradley Kempf. His story is a shining example of the rewards and recognition that come from unwavering dedication to public service. As we witness his remarkable journey from firefighter-paramedic to Deputy Fire Chief, we wholeheartedly thank him for his invaluable contributions to our community.
