Myrtle Beach Drug Bust Nets Weed, Meth & Cash

In a successful operation, a significant amount of illegal substances including weed, meth, and a considerable sum of cash was recovered by local law enforcement in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The bust occurred on August 7, after officers noticed a man in violation of a park ordinance. The suspect was identified as Timmy Lee Swartz.

Suspect Arrested in Wither Swash Park

The incident unfolded at Wither Swash Park, a location situated at 3rd Avenue and South Myrtle Street. Mr. Swartz was apprehended after being observed parked in a handicapped spot and wandering through the park despite its closed status. Officers on the scene decided to carry out a search of his car after marijuana was visibly seen within.

Myrtle Beach Police Dept.’s Discovery

Upon searching Swartz’s vehicle, authorities from the Myrtle Beach Police Dept uncovered a host of drugs including meth, an unidentified controlled substance, and a number of pills. Two medical needles were also discovered in the car. Reportedly, these needles contained a substance which later tested positive for the presence of meth. In addition to the narcotics, law enforcement also found $1,754 in cash.

Following the Arrest

After his arrest, Swartz was taken into custody and faced multiple drug-related charges. Extensive background checks are being carried out to determine whether he has been involved in any drug-related activities in the past. As per recent updates, Swartz is still incarcerated at J Reuben Long Detention Center.

The drug bust by local authorities is deemed a success and is part of an ongoing effort to curb drug-related crime within the area. Further, it serves as a clear warning to other individuals involved in similar activities that law enforcement agencies in Myrtle Beach are firmly committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of its community members.

Here at HERE News Network, we applaud the hard work and diligence of the law enforcement officers involved in this bust, as well as their continued commitment to the fight against drug-related crime in our communities.
