Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance Initiates Tasting Tour for Dining Discovery

Introduction

The Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance (MBDA) announced the launch of a unique event that promises to tantalize taste buds and offer a culinary adventure through downtown Myrtle Beach. Titled ‘Discover Downtown Dining’ (D3), this innovative dining event is all set to offer locals and tourists alike an immersive food experience.

The Event in Detail

The D3 event will be held on the vibrant Broadway Street, Tuesday, April 16, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., giving attendees an after-work excursion to elucidate the local dining scene. Jason T. Greene, CEO of the MBDA, hopes this event will spotlight the businesses that make the downtown area a culinary delight, generating a further intrigue in the local food scene. Greene quotes, “We believe our restaurant neighbors in the downtown area are some of the best-kept secrets in Myrtle Beach. It’s about time to reveal this gem.”

A Grand Spread

D3 will feature food and beverages from various downtown restaurants, including but not limited to Dos Carnales, El Rey del Taco, Sabor Caseiro, Swig & Swine, and the Tavrne. Attendees will also enjoy alcohol-free spritzers brought by Coastal Clear, and there will be entertainment to ensure a lively atmosphere.

Ticket Information

Tickets to the event, priced at $35 per person, are expected to be a hot commodity and must be bought beforehand. Sales are already underway.

The Bigger Plan

This event is only the first in a series of subsequent D3 iterations, according to Greene. The MBDA has plans to host similar events in other prominent locations in Myrtle Beach, including the Arts & Innovation District, along Ocean Boulevard, and Kings Highway. This series aims to stimulate and cater to the growing demands of the inquisitive diners, showcasing the wide range of delectable cuisines available across the city’s downtown area.

Conclusion

This innovative initiative by the MBDA seems to be on its path in transforming the perception of downtown Myrtle Beach. Instead of being just a famous tourist destination known for its beautiful long beaches and numerous golf courses, it’s soon to be recognized as a city with a vibrant downtown dining scene as well.
