The much-awaited Fifth Annual Myrtle Beach International Culture Festival took place on Sunday, transforming the serene Chapin Park into a vibrant venue of cultural exploration and excitement. The festival, which ran from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., featured an assorted group of vendors and an enticing array of traditional foods.

Highlighting the Diversity of Myrtle Beach

The festival is held to celebrate the rich cultural diversity present right here in Myrtle Beach. A spokesperson from the Festival Marketing and Communications team, explained the essence of the event, saying, “We have different performers, different vendors from all over, and it’s really just highlighting the diversity here in Myrtle Beach”.

A captivating medley of performances graced the proceedings throughout the day. The audience was entranced by the harmonious notes of a gospel choir, the traditional moves of African rhythm and dance, and the enchanting tales of the Gullah story time. The evening saw the aura elevate with gyrating fire dancers and a foot-tapping reggae band performance that had the crowd swaying to the rhythm.

Aside from the performances, the festival was also a culinary journey for the attendees.
