In the inaugural event of the Myrtle Beach Classic, nine community-focused charities have been recognized to receive grants generated from the much-anticipated sporting event. Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina (BSMCC), a non-profit organization offering support and aid to mothers of servicemen in the US Military, is among the beneficiaries selected.
BSMCC, chartered in October 2008, is a South Carolina chapter of the nationally acknowledged Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. The organization serves mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and adoptive mothers who have children serving in the military or have been honorably discharged. BSMCC has proved crucial in providing emotional support and solidarity during deployments and times of need. They also actively partake in promoting patriotism and supporting local veterans and their organizations.
Apart from assisting mothers connected with service members, BSMCC is also profoundly involved in supporting deployed and stateside troops, veterans, and respective organizations within their community. Their sustained community presence and ongoing support for local VA facilities contribute significantly to their deserved recognition.
The inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic sports event provides an excellent platform to generate revenue that will benefically impact local charities. The organizers’ decision to recognize BSMCC, amongst other smaller organizations, ensures that the funds will be going to a selection of worthy causes within the community.
As the first of its kind, the Myrtle Beach Classic sets an ambitious precedent for future events. The blend of competitive spirit, community outreach, and charitable giving paints a promising picture for upcoming tournaments. There is substantial optimism as the Classic prepares to positively make its mark in both the sporting and societal domains.
Proceeds from the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic event will undoubtedly contribute positively towards the charities selected, giving them a platform to continue their work in society. The recognition of BSMCC, in particular, reinforces the need to support the mothers and families of those who serve our country to allow them to continue their exceptional contributions to our community.
The inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic’s decision to recognise BSMCC as one of their supported charities generates great anticipation for the event and the subsequent opportunities it presents for local causes.
