A thrilling moment at the Myrtle Beach Classic, showcasing golf action and lively spectators.
The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic is set to return from May 8-11, 2025, at Dunes Golf and Beach Club. With a dual-field PGA Tour format, new co-sponsor ONEflight International, and celebrity involvement, this year’s event promises an exciting experience. Families are invited for ‘Family Day’, and the tournament plans to donate $250,000 to local charities. Golfers and fans alike can expect thrilling course changes and memorable fun for all!
Guess what, Myrtle Beach fans? The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic is back and set to take place from May 8-11, 2025, at the stunning Dunes Golf and Beach Club! That’s right, this exciting PGA Tour tournament is returning for its second year with some fresh changes that are sure to make it even more thrilling.
This year, the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic is stepping up with a new co-sponsor: ONEflight International, alongside the already involved Visit Myrtle Beach. This new partnership is creating a buzz and promises to deliver an unforgettable golfing experience!
What’s special about the tournament? It offers a dual-field PGA Tour format, which means it opens the doors for players who might not qualify for those big-name Signature tournaments. Although you won’t be seeing top players like Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy this time around, it gives up-and-coming talent a chance to shine!
The inaugural tournament last year was quite a hit! Golfers and fans alike gave it solid reviews, with Chris Gotterup clinching the victory at a remarkable 22-under-par 262. Remarkably, six players from that tournament have gone on to win seven PGA Tour titles since then. Notable names like Robert MacIntyre, Davis Thompson, Patton Kizzire, and others have been making waves on the golf scene!
This year, the course will feature a modified setup. Players can expect some new challenges, as the layout will be a par-71 instead of the usual par-72. Changes include a longer second hole and transforming the eighth hole from a par-5 to a challenging long par-4 – setting the stage for an exciting competition!
But that’s not all! There’s a touch of celebrity magic in the air as actors like Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, and Anthony Anderson are confirmed to join the festivities. And the excitement doesn’t stop there, as golf fans are holding their breath with potential appearances from Bill Murray, Jon Hamm, and Jason Aldean! On the Wednesday pro-am day, there will be 18 pairings of celebrities, pros, and everyday golfers, making it an experience you won’t want to miss.
Mark your calendars because Saturday has been designated as Family Day, where children ages 15 and under can attend for free with a paid adult ticket! It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce young ones to the thrill of live golf. Plus, there’s an exciting Patriot Outpost for active military and veterans, with free and discounted tickets available – because everyone deserves a fantastic day out.
Also on the agenda is the Charity Corner, where representatives from nine charities will receive a share of the $250,000 donations raised from the event. It’s all about giving back to those in need while enjoying some world-class golf.
Another unique feature of this year’s event is the Horry County Schools Day scheduled for April 14, inviting high school students with an interest in agronomy to learn about the fascinating world of golf course management.
Tickets are already available online at www.myrtlebeachclassic.com, and there’s a high demand for hospitality options! Don’t miss out on the chance to catch all the action live as the tournament will also be broadcast on the Golf Channel during specific times throughout the event.
This is surely a momentous occasion for Myrtle Beach, enhancing its status as a premier golf destination! Get ready for an exhilarating experience filled with fun, laughter, and—most importantly—golf! See you there!
