Get ready, golf lovers! The 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience, taking place from May 8-11 at the stunning Dunes Golf and Beach Club. With a lineup of exciting activities and a host of famous faces, this year’s tournament promises to be a blend of stellar golf and top-notch entertainment.
Mark your calendars because this year’s tournament features celebrities you won’t want to miss! The likes of Anthony Anderson, Kevin Costner, and Kurt Russell are set to make appearances, kicking off the festivities during the media day on March 3, 2025. But that’s just the beginning; they’ll also be hitting the greens for the pro-am event on May 7, 2025. Expect a fabulous time as ONEflight, the private jet service operator and co-title sponsor, brings in up to 18 celebrity groups to join in the fun.
It’s not every day you get to share the fairway with Hollywood stars, right? Imagine the thrilling atmosphere as a black helicopter lands, delivering some of these A-listers directly to the tournament. The intention is to aim high and elevate this event beyond just a typical golf tournament!
Adding to the excitement, Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard is scheduled to rock the stage during a concert at the Myrtle Beach Classic, together with the legendary band Chairmen of the Board. Picture this: concerts unfolding near the 17th and 18th holes – naturally crafted into an amphitheater perfect for fan viewing. What a way to enjoy some great tunes while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere!
And let’s not forget about Vanna White! The Wheel of Fortune co-host and Grand Strand native is making her second consecutive appearance at the tournament. It’s a homecoming of sorts and just another reason to look forward to this year’s festivities.
The tournament is part of the prestigious PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup schedule, with a total of 132 players ready to swing for a share of a whopping $4 million purse. Whether you’re a player or a fan, it’s an excellent opportunity to get involved, with 300 FedEx Cup points up for grabs! Don’t miss out – the excitement is palpable!
Organizers are gearing up for the event with plans for around 1,500 volunteers, slightly more than last year, to help ensure the tournament runs smoothly. Plus, there’s a little something special called the Patriot Outpost, designed to honor active military members and veterans. It’s fantastic to see the golf community giving back!
Speaking of community, the Horry County Schools Day is on April 14, allowing about 100 high school juniors and seniors interested in agronomy to attend the event. There’s even a junior golf clinic hosted by Project Golf during tournament week. What an incredible chance for young golfers to learn from the best!
If you’re planning to enjoy the tournament in style, the private suite on Hole 18 is already sold out, but fear not! There are still hospitality options available on Hole 17. If you’re interested in the pro-am events, act fast as spots are still open and are expected to fill up quickly, just like last year’s sold-out pro-ams.
The tournament also features a Charity Corner, supporting nine different charities with a collective $250,000 donation. It’s a perfect way to combine the love of golf with giving back!
Families are welcome too! Saturday is designated as Family Day, with free admission for children aged 15 and under with a ticketed adult. So bring the family and enjoy a fantastic day out!
For those not able to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on the Golf Channel. Specific timings for various days of the tournament will be available, so you won’t miss a moment of the excitement.
As we countdown to May, it looks more and more like the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic will be an event for the books! Grab your friends, make plans, and get ready for a blend of golf, celebrity fun, and community spirit!
