The charming coastal city of Myrtle Beach is ready to welcome visitors for the second annual Myrtle Beach Classic, which is set to take place from May 8 to May 11, 2025. Tournament Director Darren Nelson is predicting a fantastic turnout of around 50,000 attendees at the beautiful Dunes Golf and Beach Club. This year promises to be bigger and better, with not only thrilling golf action but also a star-studded lineup of celebrities!
For folks eager to join the fun, tickets are already up for grabs! Single-day passes are quite affordable, ranging from $30 on Wednesday to $65 on Saturday. If you want to enjoy the entire experience, a basic week pass is available for $220. Great news for families: children aged 15 and younger can get in for free when accompanied by a ticket holder, making it a perfect outing for parents and kids alike.
The event also offers luxury seating options and various ticket tiers, including exclusive inside-the-ropes access and clubhouse entry. Those looking to enjoy a premier experience can opt for these elevated options at different price points.
Planning on driving? Be aware that parking passes are priced at $15 per day and need to be purchased in advance, separate from your tournament tickets. These parking passes will be provided electronically; remember, no printouts or screenshots are acceptable! Spectators can park conveniently at Lot B, located at 2400 N Oak St., close to the former Myrtle Square Mall site. Shuttle services will ferry attendees to the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, so you won’t have to worry about walking far at all!
This year’s Myrtle Beach Classic is aiming to enhance its profile significantly by incorporating larger celebrity appearances compared to 2024. Get ready to see Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Anthony Anderson, and the iconic Vanna White amongst the stars making appearances. Music lovers can look forward to a special performance by Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, set for May 8, 2025. The fusion of golf and entertainment ensures there’s something for everyone!
The tournament will feature a competitive field of 132 players, though the exact lineup is yet to be announced. In fact, previous rosters were typically revealed just before the tournament kicks off. However, one exciting development to note is that many top PGA professionals are anticipated to take part in the Truist Championship in Philadelphia during the same time, potentially leading to a lighter roster for the Classic.
The excitement doesn’t stop there! The tournament will also showcase a qualifying event known as “The Q.” Airing on YouTube on May 5, 2025, The Q will feature well-known influencers and celebrities, including Fat Perez, George Bryan, and long-drive specialist Kyle Berkshire. Last year’s champion, professional golfer Matt Atkins, is also expected to showcase his skills again at the Classic.
“The Q” aims to highlight diverse talents, from juniors to aspiring professionals and established amateurs. In fact, the 2024 “The Q” event was honored with the PGA Tour’s “Best-In-Class Element” award, showcasing its creativity and impact on the golfing world. There are 16 participants with unique backgrounds, making this a captivating experience for spectators and competitors alike!
The Myrtle Beach Classic is not just a tournament; it’s an exciting celebration of golf and entertainment. With various celebrity engagements and a fun atmosphere, it promises to expand its audience and leave everyone with lasting memories. So mark your calendars for May 8-11, 2025, and be part of this epic weekend in Myrtle Beach!
