Motorcyclist Killed En Route to Myrtle Beach Bike Week

A tragic accident occurred this past weekend involving a motorcyclist who was reportedly headed towards the Bike Week festivities in Myrtle Beach. The incident took place in Kershaw County, where a motorcycle crash resulted in the untimely death of the rider.

Fatal Crash Shocks Community

The deceased individual was identified as 37-year-old Tully Tillman, a resident of neighboring Lancaster County. As stated by local authorities, Tillman was riding solo on Highway 903 at the time of the accident. He lost control and veered off the right side of the roadway, subsequently colliding with a drainage culvert. The crash occurred just prior to 6 a.m. on Saturday near Ellis Road.

Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but Tillman, who was wearing protective headgear at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead on arrival.

A popular biking event, Bike Week in Myrtle Beach is a gathering that attracts motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country. Given the timing of his journey and the direction in which he was traveling, officials believe that Tillman was making his way towards the rally when the tragic mishap occurred.
