Brooke Vu, the reigning Miss Myrtle Beach, and Emma Cisler, the current Miss Myrtle Beach Teen, are geared up to make their city proud. Both talented young women are known not just for their beauty, but for their significant contributions to the community.
An alumnus of Coastal Carolina University, Brooke holds a bachelor’s degree in marine science and biology. She is particularly noted for her fervent environmental advocacy, entitled “The Future is Green: Sustainability Takes All of Us”. Her involvement with Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful and other environmental cleanups has been indispensable to the city.
Emma, a student at Carolina Forest High School, shines with her community service initiative dubbed as H.O.P.E, an acronym for Health, Overcoming, Personal Growth, and Empowerment. Her initiative is testament to her commitment to promoting a healthy and empowered community.
The upcoming Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants are not merely beauty contests. They serve as crucial platforms for empowering and providing opportunities to young women. Part of the prestigious Miss America Scholarship Program, the pageants offer scholarships and avenues for the participants to further their advocacies and make meaningful impacts in their communities.
The winners of the Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen will further receive the opportunity to compete in the national Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageants, respectively.
With just a few days before the big event, Myrtle Beach residents and the city government have wished their representatives the best of luck. The City of Myrtle Beach has expressed their support with a simple yet heartfelt message, “Good luck to you both!” – a sentiment shared by the whole community.
As Myrtle Beach eagerly anticipates the upcoming beauty pageants, the city is already incredibly proud of Brooke Vu and Emma Cisler. Regardless of the outcome, these young women have already won the hearts of their city through their doing their part in making a positive change. On the grandest stage of the state pageants, they are not just representing Myrtle Beach – they are signifying what it genuinely means to be an empowered and compassionate South Carolinian young woman.
