MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — What an adventure! A man who started his nearly 3,000-mile stroll across America right here in Myrtle Beach has recently wrapped up his journey in sunny California. Ranger Kielak, the driving force behind Within Range Coaching and a holistic success coach, embarked on this epic trek with a simple yet noble goal: to raise money for nonprofits and shine a light on the unique folks he met along the way.
Kielak spent five long years planning every detail of his walk. It was something he had dreamed about for ages, and when he finally hit the pavement, the excitement was palpable. “It was just like this immense amount of pride, excitement, like, I am doing something that I’ve been wanting to do for years,” he reminisced, reflecting on those early days. It was a cocktail of emotions—joy, anxiety, and pure determination—all swirling around like a whirlwind.
When he first set off from Myrtle Beach, the thrill of the adventure ahead was almost overwhelming. But as many of us know, the road is rarely smooth! Facing rolling hills in South Carolina and dealing with his first taste of 90-degree heat in Oklahoma proved to be quite the challenge. Despite these obstacles, Kielak found that the connections he made with people from various towns were what truly made the experience special. “So is the issue, is the problem, the roadblock in my way important enough that I am willing to give up this accomplishment?” he pondered, clearly feeling that forging human connections always outweighed the difficulties.
Over the course of his journey, he hosted more than 30 podcast episodes, walked through ten different states, and most importantly, accomplished his main goal: survival! This wasn’t just about putting one foot in front of the other; it was about discovering who he is and what he can achieve. And when he reached Pismo Beach in California, he felt a rush of disbelief wash over him. “That was when I kind of just, like, blacked out, like, ‘oh my god, I finally did it,’” he exclaimed.
Kielak completed his walk in just under six months, and his journey has left a lasting impact on him, both personally and professionally. “I would like to pass that on to others throughout, you know, my experience with the walk, the stories that I shared, that you can do the thing,” he shared, passionate about inspiring others to follow their dreams. It’s a reminder that we all have the power within us to chase our dreams, no matter how big they may seem.
Although Kielak has no plans to hit the road for another cross-country walk anytime soon, he’s excited about the next chapter of his life. He aims to build his coaching business and continue using what he learned during his walk to make a positive impact on the lives of others. It’s clear he’s on a mission to show everyone that taking that leap of faith can lead to incredible experiences.
So here’s to Ranger Kielak, a true inspiration to us all, reminding us to embrace our journeys, connect with others, and always keep moving forward. His story is a powerful testament to the fact that with heart and determination, amazing feats are within our reach.
