PGA Tour Unveils Exciting 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Schedule

Get ready, golf fans! The Korn Ferry Tour is gearing up for an exhilarating 2025 season, which was announced recently. This marks the tour’s 35th season and promises to be one for the books. Kicking off in the beautiful Bahamas come January, the season will span across seven countries and 16 states, featuring a whopping 26 events!

International Kick-Off

The excitement is set to begin with six international events! Golf enthusiasts can look forward to seeing the players take aim in not just the Bahamas but also fabulous spots in South America. After this thrilling foreign start, they will return to the United States for a three-week run, followed by an exciting event in Mexico. It truly feels like a global golf adventure!

Television and Finals Format

This season also brings fabulous news for fans who can’t make it to the greens. A total of 10 events will be televised, including the much-anticipated Korn Ferry Tour Finals. This series consists of four thrilling events and all will be broadcast on the Golf Channel. The Finals kick-off with the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation from September 11-14, 2025, followed by the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship the following week.

New this year, the Compliance Solutions Championship is revamping its venue. After two years spent at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club, it will now be hosted at The Patriot Golf Club in Oklahoma. The season will wrap up with the highly awaited Korn Ferry Tour Championship on October 12, 2025. With such a jam-packed and diverse schedule, it looks like fans are in for a stellar treat!

A Record-Breaking Performance

Cristobal Del Solar. His awe-inspiring score of 13-under 57 during the first round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Astara Golf Championship is breaking records. This unbelievable score is now the lowest ever recorded in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event.

Del Solar’s feat was nothing short of spectacular—he blasted his way through the course with six birdies and two eagles while avoiding bogeys altogether. His front nine sets the stage with an impressive 27 strokes, matching the record for the lowest nine-hole score on the Korn Ferry Tour. Minutes later, he continued his momentum on the back nine, adding three more birdies and another eagle to his scorecard.

A Perfect Course for Low Scores

The par-70 course, measuring 6,254 yards at about 8,600 feet above sea level, created a prime environment for lower scores. Thanks to recent rain, the greens were soft, providing fantastic playing conditions. In addition, the wet conditions allowed players to choose preferred lies, giving them the chance to use shorter clubs for their approaches into the greens. Del Solar noted that even a 6-iron was the longest club he needed to use into the greens!

Looking Ahead

Before his phenomenal round, the record for the lowest score in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event stood at 58, shared by two other pro players in 2016. Now, with Del Solar leading the tournament by four strokes, he looks to keep up this incredible performance as the events continue. Despite the historic achievement, he remains level-headed, focused on the tournament’s outcomes.

Del Solar’s journey started as a Florida State golfer, and he turned professional back in 2017, celebrating four victories on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica circuit. Now, as a Korn Ferry Tour rookie, he currently stands 14th in points for the ongoing season and holds a world ranking of 259. With the 2025 season promising thrilling events and a record-breaking achievement already on the board, the golf world has a lot to look forward to!
