Indoor Golf Simulators Are Taking Over in Southwest Florida!
Have you noticed the vanishing outdoor golf driving ranges around Southwest Florida? Well, you’re not alone. As more and more driving ranges close down, indoor golf simulators are on the rise—changing the game for golf lovers everywhere! One of the most exciting places making headlines in this trend is The Cave, a unique venue that combines fantastic food, a full bar, and state-of-the-art golf simulators all in one spot.
Welcome to The Cave
Located at 9250 Corkscrew Road, Suite 13, in Estero, The Cave opened its doors on February 4, thanks to the vision of Karen Nicoletti, a professional golfer with the LPGA, and her husband, Brad Swearingen, a former professional golf caddy. This dynamic duo is dedicated to providing a fun and inclusive environment where golfers of all skill levels can come together. Plus, they’re offering free women’s golf clinics on Mondays! How cool is that?
For those who serve our communities—like veterans, police, firefighters, emergency medical services, and educators—The Cave rolls out some sweet specials to show appreciation for their hard work. With hours running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, it’s the perfect after-work or weekend retreat to practice your swing while enjoying some delicious food.
Golf Simulators: A Game Changer
So, how does it work? Using one of their advanced golf simulators costs $50 an hour and can accommodate up to six people. You’d be amazed at how realistic these experiences can be. From driving the ball onto the simulated green to navigating sand traps, you’re sure to feel like you’re actually out on the golf course! With options to play some of the world’s most iconic courses from the comfort of this cozy space, you don’t have to break the bank. Imagine trying to play at Pebble Beach in real life; it’ll cost you almost $800! Here, you can enjoy the virtual version for a fraction of that price.
A New Plan B
Swearingen was inspired to start this venture after a back injury derailed his caddy career. “While recovering, he needed a plan B,” Nicoletti shared. “And so, The Cave was born. He pretty much built it with his own two hands!” Talk about dedication! As if that’s not enough, they have plans for two indoor pickleball courts later this year—providing yet another fun activity to attract even more patrons.
What makes The Cave really special, though, is the atmosphere they’ve created. “You don’t have to worry about being intimidated,” Nicoletti explains. “This is a place where beginners and advanced players alike can come and enjoy themselves without that intimidation factor. We have great games on our simulators for kids, too!” It’s a welcoming space for families, friends, and anyone who loves the game.
The Realistic Experience
Swearingen demonstrated the magic of the simulators, proving just how real they feel. As he smacked the ball into the simulator screen, the virtual ball took flight, mirroring the greats out on the course. “It might take a hole or two to get used to it,” he notes. “But it’s so accurate and realistic that you’ll soon feel like you’re truly out on the greens.”
With the rise of these indoor golf simulators, The Cave is paving the way for a new era in golf in Southwest Florida. Whether you’re looking to improve your game, share a fun night out with friends, or just enjoy some good food and drinks, the Cave has you covered. So swing by and check it out—your new favorite golf hangout is waiting for you!
