Overview of Ed’s Hurricane Hustle & Expo at Coastal Carolina University

CONWAY, S.C. – Annual Awareness and Running Event

The community is gearing up for Ed’s Hurricane Hustle, set for June 1, 2024. Open to all ages, this event at Coastal Carolina University features a 5K and a one-mile fun run. Participants can run, walk, or bring their leashed dog, starting at 8 a.m. for the 5K and 8:10 a.m. for the fun run.

Registration and Packet Pickup

Registration remains open until May 30. Participants can pick up their packets at Black Dog Running Company before race day, or at Brooks Stadium on the morning of the race from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m.

Parking Details

Parking is available in GG and KK lots at Coastal Carolina University, providing convenient access to the event’s activities.

Race Route & Finish Line

The race route concludes at the Teal Turf at Brooks Stadium, enhancing the finish line experience for both runners and spectators.

Post-Run Expo

The Hurricane Expo follows the race. This educational component features presentations from various organizations focused on hurricane preparedness, response, and recovery. Additionally, the Chief Meteorologist will discuss the 2024 hurricane forecast and historical storm impacts.

This event combines fitness with crucial educational opportunities regarding hurricane season preparedness, making it a significant date for the community’s calendar.
