Sponsor Our ArticlesMyrtle Beach was buzzing with excitement this past Thursday as the annual Halloween Costume Ride took place at The Market Common. This fun-filled family event has been a staple in our community for the past seven years, always hosted on the Thursday right before the spookiest night of the year. It’s become a cherished tradition that brings everyone together to celebrate Halloween in the most creative ways!
As we made our way to the event, the air was filled with the crisp excitement of approaching Halloween. Families, kids, and adults alike donned their best costumes, turning heads and lighting up the evening with their colorful and imaginative outfits. From witches to superheroes, the costumes were absolutely fantastic! Riders took it up a notch by decorating their bicycles with glimmering Halloween lights and all sorts of spooky decorations. It was like a parade on wheels!
Once everyone gathered, participants hopped on their bikes and pedaled through the scenic routes of The Market Common at a social pace, allowing everyone to keep up and enjoy the sights. The vibe was cheerful and laid-back, with laughter and chatter filling the air. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces—neighbors and friends coming together to celebrate a shared love for cycling and Halloween.
But it wasn’t just about the ride! At the end of the journey, everyone made their way to Tidal Creek Brewery, where riders could unwind and enjoy some tasty food and refreshing drinks. What better way to finish a fun-filled evening than by sharing stories and memories with fellow riders over delicious brews and bites? The atmosphere was nothing short of festive, as families and friends swapped stories about their costumes and bike decorations.
If you thought this ride was the last of the year, think again! Pee Dee Bicycle has something special planned for the holiday season. Get ready for another exciting holiday bike ride in December, with details and dates to be announced soon. The fun never has to end, especially in our vibrant Myrtle Beach community!
If you missed out on this year’s Halloween ride, don’t worry! There will be plenty more opportunities for you to join in on the fun. Participation is open to everyone—whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just a casual bike rider looking for a good time! Just imagine the joy of decorating your bike and gathering with friends and family for an evening full of laughter and camaraderie!
