Myrtle Beach Kicks Off Halloween Festivities with Exciting Events and Spooky Decor!

Myrtle Beach Welcomes Spooky Season with a Bang!

October has officially rolled in, and with it, a touch of thrilling chill in the air that’s unmistakably Halloween season! Here in Myrtle Beach, the spirit of this spooktacular time is bursting to life—certainly not to be outdone by the skeletons and ghouls joining in on the fun! The Pepper Geddings Recreation Center is the place to be for all things eerie, and boy, have they gone all out this year!

Halloween Decor Galore!

As we stroll into the rec center, it’s clear that the city’s Youth Programs Division has truly embraced the Halloween spirit! They’ve put together a wonderfully creepy scene that’s sure to thrill the after-school program participants. From cauldrons bubbling with witches’ brew (just like in Hocus Pocus) to a spine-tingling haunted house and even a graveyard full of surprises, the decorations will enchant—yet maybe frighten—a few little ones (and maybe some adults too!).

Picture this: walking through a haunted house filled with faux cobwebs, eerie sounds, and of course, some smile-inducing, silly scares. It’s not only a perfect prelude to the actual day of Halloween, but it also serves as a delightful winter warmer for those in our community. Plus, who can say no to getting into the Halloween spirit a little early?

Mark Your Calendar: Halloween Carnival!

Now, if you’re planning on diving deeper into the thrills and chills, make sure to mark your calendars for the annual Halloween Carnival on October 29. This event is not just for the after-school kids—oh no! It’s open for everyone in the Myrtle Beach community, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it!

The carnival promises a fantastic lineup of spooky activities, games, and treats that’ll fill your autumn afternoon with joy. You can expect everything from costume contests to delightful treats and plenty of opportunities to soak in the Halloween vibes with family and friends. Whether you’re young or just young at heart, this carnival is sure to bring about the spirit of the season in full force!

Let’s Get in the Spirit!

So, whether you’re bringing the kids, hanging out with some pals, or taking a romantic stroll through Pepper Geddings while soaking in all the spooky decorations, there’s no better time to immerse yourself in the Halloween fun happening right here in our beloved Myrtle Beach.

And if you’re looking to add some extra magic to your October, gathering some friends and visiting this spooktacular scene sounds like the perfect excuse to enjoy the beautiful fall weather! With the weather now sitting at a comfy 72 degrees, and getting warmer into the weekend with highs of 79 on Sunday and 83 on Monday, we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful backdrop for the festivities!

So grab your costumes, set your plans in motion, and get ready for a frightfully good time at the Pepper Geddings Recreation Center. Let’s relive those childhood Halloween dreams and create some new memories that will last for ages. Happy haunting, Myrtle Beach!
