Excitement is building in Carolina Forest as the construction of the much-anticipated Forest Marketplace shopping center is nearing completion. Conveniently located at 2248 Carolina Forest Blvd, this new retail hub is adjacent to a newly opened Shell Station and convenience store, promising to become a vibrant center of activity for residents and visitors alike.
The Forest Marketplace is set to feature nine retail spots, catering to various needs and tastes. Among the tenants is the Chinese eatery, Lucky Panda, which is expected to serve delicious dishes that locals have been craving. In addition, a stylish nail salon named Sky Nails will provide pampering services, creating an all-in-one stop for visitors.
Perhaps one of the most exciting additions to the Marketplace is the Italian restaurant, Nonna’s Taste of Italy. Aimed at delivering an authentic Italian experience, Nonna’s will offer an array of delectable items, including individual 10-inch pizzas, flavorful paninis, and delightful gelato. Patrons can also indulge in a variety of beverages at the restaurant’s coffee bar, as well as enjoy alcoholic options. The property where the Forest Marketplace is being built was acquired by Royal Panthera LLC for a reasonable price of $390,000. Now, with its current market value estimated at approximately $544,000, it seems that this endeavor will present a promising opportunity for investors and the local economy.
In tandem with The Marketplace at The Mill, which will be anchored by a Publix supermarket, the Forest Marketplace is expected to create a thriving retail environment. New businesses signed to join the Mill include Fortune Asian Bistro, Sweetberry Bowls, River Oaks Pizzeria, Firehouse Subs, Great Clips, Grande Nails, and Heartland Dental. The entire Marketplace is projected to be fully leased even before construction reaches completion.

Additionally, Hawthorne Residential Partners is developing the luxury multi-family community, Hawthorne at The Mill, featuring 290 planned units on an adjacent 20-acre site, indicating an influx of residents to the area.

This issue is being scrutinized as Match Property Managers continue to seek community-friendly tenants, including plans for an additional Mexican restaurant, which could further enhance the area’s dining options.
