Man Arrested for Robbing Food Delivery Drivers at Knifepoint in Myrtle Beach

Arrest follows series of violent robberies

Police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, have arrested a man from North Carolina accused of several armed robberies targeting food delivery drivers. 22-year-old Cameron Baker of Winston-Salem is now facing multiple charges in connection with the incidents.

First Incident

According to official documents, the series of robberies started on June 24. Armed with a knife, Baker reportedly flagged down a Domino’s Pizza driver making a delivery on Collins Street. He held the driver at gunpoint, demanding all the cash on hand. Baker allegedly made off with $55 in cash and a hot bag containing food, instructing the driver to leave the scene.

Second Robbery

A similar incident followed two days later, on June 26. This time, Baker targeted a Doordash driver who was making a delivery to Withers Swash Drive and Collins Street. The documents report Baker approaching the driver’s car yet again with a knife, demanding money. Baker took $60 during this encounter, plus a Papa John’s food delivery worth over $95. A second victim at the scene told authorities that Baker warned he spared them only due to the presence of their children in the rear of the car. The victims also reported that Baker had a box cutter.

Arrest and Evidence

Police found Baker on June 27, inside a vehicle reportedly stolen from North Carolina at a Walmart located on Seaboard Street. The official warrants list statements from the victims and footage from city security cameras which caught Baker inside the car as crucial evidence contributing to his arrest.

Charges and Bond

Baker faces a series of charges, including first-degree assault, armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. As per the latest reports, Baker remains held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.

Accomplice Arrested

Along with Baker, police arrested Jazmyn Corvin, 25, charging her with armed robbery and shoplifting. Corvin allegedly assisted Baker during the June 24 robbery and helped him flee the scene.
