Cooler Temperatures Arrive in Myrtle Beach as Fall Sets In

Cooler Days Are Here in Myrtle Beach!

Good morning, Myrtle Beach! It looks like fall is finally making its presence known, and we couldn’t be more excited. As you step outside, you might notice that refreshing chill in the air. Thanks to a cold front that rolled through yesterday, the temperatures today are starting off in the upper 40s to low 50s. That’s a fantastic reason to grab your favorite sweater and maybe even a hot cup of coffee!

Sunny and Mild Today

Today is shaping up to be a lovely one. Expect plenty of sunshine as we warm up to the low 70s. If you’ve got any outdoor plans, you’re in luck! The wind is calming down to about 5-10 mph out of the north, so it should be a pleasant day with no gusts to chase your hat away!

What to Expect Tonight

As the sun sets, we’ll greet a secondary push of cooler air that will slide in. This will bring an uptick in clouds overnight, but most of us will stay dry. Just a heads up – if you’re in the border belt, you might see a few light showers or sprinkles. Lows tonight will drop to the mid to upper 40s in the Pee Dee and hover closer to 50 along the coast. So, if you’re venturing out this evening, don’t forget your light jacket!

Chilly Wednesday Ahead

Get ready for a chilly Wednesday! We’ll start the day with mostly cloudy skies and a brisk northerly wind. It’s definitely going to be a good day to stay cozy indoors. Keep those soup and chili recipes handy—it’s perfect for some warming comfort food. With temperatures struggling to reach the lower 60s, it seems fall is truly here to remind us of its charm.

Weekend Outlook

But don’t worry, because as we look towards the weekend, we’re in for a warming trend! By Friday and Saturday, we’ll see highs creeping into the low to mid 70s across the area. And Sunday into Monday? We’re talking mid to upper 70s with some spots possibly nearing 80 degrees! So, get the grill fired up or round up friends for a beach bonfire! The best part? Looks like we’re in for a dry weekend, with no rain expected throughout.

Time to Winterize!

Speaking of the changing seasons, if you haven’t thought about preparing your home for winter yet, now is the perfect time to start! There are plenty of simple and affordable tips to get your house ready. From checking your insulation to ensuring your heating system is up to snuff, make sure you don’t wait until the first cold snap. A little preparation can go a long way!

Daylight Saving Time

And let’s not forget, with the changing seasons, Daylight Saving Time will be here before we know it. While there’s no getting around it, there are some tricks to make the transition smoother. Keeping your sleep schedule consistent can really help minimize those disruptions.

That’s your Myrtle Beach weather update! So, grab that cozy sweater, whip up a warm meal, and enjoy this beautiful fall weather as it rolls in. Stay warm, and have a fantastic week ahead!
