Hey there, Myrtle Beach! Can you feel the crispness in the air? The kids are back in school, the tourist crowds are finally starting to thin out, and those warm summer temperatures are beginning to mellow out. Autumn is sneaking up on us, and you know what that means—it’s time for some cozy, delicious seasonal brews! 🍂
Our local breweries are gearing up for the season, rolling out some delightful flavors that will warm your heart and tickle your taste buds. So grab your friends and family, because these limited-time brews are not to be missed!
Located right in downtown Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Brewing Company is going all out this fall! They’ve kicked things off with their Oktoberfest German lager and brought back the crowd-favorite Conway Coffee Ale. And don’t forget, on September 21, they’re hosting Funk in the Park—a fantastic beer and music festival featuring live music, delicious food vendors, and of course, craft beer! During the event, they’ll be releasing a special collab brew with Asheville’s Wicked Weed Brewing called Seetang, a West Coast Kölsch beer that promises to be as refreshing as a sea breeze!
Just a hop, skip, and jump away, New South Brewing is brewing up three seasonal beers this fall! You can sip on their Oktoberfest amber lager through October. Plus, on September 7, they’re teaming up with the Humane Society for an adoption day—what a great way to enjoy a frosty brew while helping furry friends find their forever homes! They’ll also introduce Hair of the Dog, a zesty blood orange IPA, with a dollar from every pour going to the Humane Society. In November, keep an eye out for Brock, another seasonal brew with proceeds supporting the Adaptive Surf Project. Cheers to doing good while enjoying a tasty beer!
Over in North Myrtle Beach, Crooked Hammock Brewery is kicking off their fourth annual Crooktoberfest celebration this September 6! Get ready for a month filled with live music, kid-friendly crafts, and some quirky contests, including keg squatting and pretzel tossing. They’ll have two seasonal German beers on deck: Crooktoberfest, an amber lager, and WunderPumpkin, which carries a hint of pumpkin goodness. Better yet, they’re rolling out a Bavarian-inspired menu featuring crowd-pleasers like the Bier Me Burger and a scrumptious Caramel Apple Strudel Sundae!
Over at Tidal Creek Brewhouse in The Market Common, the fun continues with Fiddler Festbier, a German-style lager that’s perfect for those cool autumn days. They’re also gearing up for their very own Oktoberfest event on September 21, where you can enjoy all sorts of festive fun, including accordion players and stilt walkers! And don’t miss out on their soon-to-be-released Spice Drop, a pumpkin beer that debuted last season on October 24. Mark your calendars!
Last but not least, the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant located in Market Common is rolling out an exciting seasonal beer and food menu starting September 16! Get ready to indulge in the Oktoberfest beer, and savor traditional German dishes like jaeger schnitzel throughout October and November.
So there you have it, Myrtle Beach! With all these tasty autumn brews and exciting events lined up, it’s time to gather your friends and family, head out to your favorite brewery, and enjoy everything this wonderful season has to offer.
