Exciting New RV Park Set to Transform Myrtle Beach into a Camping Oasis by 2026

Exciting New Developments in Myrtle Beach: A Weekend RV Paradise on the Horizon!

Hey Myrtle Beach, we’ve got some thrilling news to share that will definitely capture your interest! Our beloved Horry County is about to get even more exciting with the addition of a brand new RV park! Yes, you heard that right. After some wait, the Horry County Planning Commission gave a big thumbs up for this project, which is set to become a fantastic getaway for all those who cherish camping and the great outdoors.

What’s Cooking at the New RV Park?

So, here’s the scoop: this new RV park is going to sit on a 34.47-acre spot right off Highway 905, just a stone’s throw from the intersection with Highway 22. The developers initially proposed about 94 campsites and 23 cozy cabins, but folks, that number is set to grow! According to a spokesperson for the developers, there will eventually be around 200 campsites alongside 35 cabins. That’s a lot of room for all the campers ready to hit the road!

And it gets better. This park isn’t just about pitching tents or parking your RVs. It’ll feature a full range of amenities that’ll make your stay enjoyable. Picture this: enjoying your morning coffee with riverside views! Yes, the park is located along the beautiful Waccamaw River, making it a prime spot for nature lovers. The target completion date is slated for early 2026, so get your marshmallows ready folks!

The Location Matters!

As we all know, the right spot can make all the difference, and the developers think that being close to Highway 22 is going to make this park a big hit. It should draw in not just local campers but visitors from all over. Plus, let’s not forget the nearby Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach, which used to go by the name Carolina Pines, located a short drive on Highway 90—so if you like to camp, we’re quickly becoming the place to be!

Other Developments on the Horizon

If you showed up for the planning meeting, you might’ve noticed a crowd that had concerns about a different development aimed at Highway 66 and Ashley Circle. That project sought to introduce 147 single-family homes on a sizable 91.26-acre plot. However, the developer opted to postpone their plans, allowing those in attendance to head home with a sigh of relief.

But hold on to your hats! The Planning Commission greenlighted another project set for a different corner of Highway 66, near the Highway 9 Bypass near Loris. This one brings the promise of 173 new single-family homes on nearly 90 acres. This kind of growth is essential as our community evolves, and it has everyone buzzing about what the future holds for Myrtle Beach!

Keeping Things Moving!

Now, all these plans and approvals still need a go-ahead from the Horry County Council, which means a few more readings before they become final. But, in the meantime, it’s fun to daydream about camping under the stars along the Waccamaw, isn’t it?

So, there you have it, Myrtle Beach! Things are shaping up nicely, and we can’t wait to see how this all unfolds. Who’s ready for some camping adventures?
