Sponsor Our ArticlesConway, S.C. — Coastal Carolina University is set to host Ed’s Hurricane Hustle on June 1, 2024. This event, suitable for families, fitness enthusiasts, and pet lovers, offers a 5K run or walk and a one-mile fun run. The 5K race starts at 8 a.m., followed by the one-mile run at 8:10 a.m.
Participants can still register for the event by signing up here. Note that registration fees will go up after May 30.
Registered participants can collect their packets at Black Dog Running Company in Myrtle Beach on 1600 Farrow Pkwy Unit B-1, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Packets can also be picked up on the morning of the race at Brooks Stadium from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Parking is available at the GG and KK lots on campus, near Highway 501 and behind Lackey Chapel.
The race will finish on the Teal Turf at Brooks Stadium.
After the race, the Hurricane Expo will take place, featuring presentations about hurricane preparedness, response, and recovery from various organizations. Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski will also speak about the 2024 hurricane forecast and past storm impacts.
