Ed’s Hurricane Hustle in Conway, SC Details

Important Information for Participants

CONWAY, S.C. — The Ed’s Hurricane Hustle event is scheduled for June 1, 2024, at Coastal Carolina University. It will feature a 5K race and a one-mile fun run, suitable for runners, walkers, and dogs on leashes.

Event Timing:

The 5K is slated to start at 8 a.m., and the one-mile fun run will begin at 8:10 a.m. Participants should be aware that the entry fee will increase after May 30.

Packet Collection:

Race packets can be collected from Black Dog Running Company, located at 1600 Farrow Pkwy Unit B-1, Myrtle Beach, SC from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or at Brooks Stadium on the morning of the race from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

Parking:

Parking is accessible in the GG and KK lots on the campus, allowing easy access to the event site.

Route and Finish:

Participants will finish the race on the Teal Turf at Brooks Stadium.

Post-Race Activities:

A Hurricane Expo will take place post-race, featuring agencies focused on hurricane preparedness, response, and recovery. Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski will offer insights into the impending hurricane season.

The day promises a mix of competitive running, community engagement, and educational experiences focused on hurricane preparedness.
