Conway is buzzing with excitement this week as the Conway Outpost at Conway Marina has officially announced its new management. This fresh leadership is gearing up to transform the marina into a hot spot for both locals and visitors with an array of exciting new services, including a lively restaurant and tiki bar by the water’s edge!

A New Era Begins

The newly appointed management team is made up of local entrepreneurs who are no strangers to the hospitality scene – Tommy Guido, Eric Jordan, and Shannon Jordan. These dynamic partners have secured a coveted 10-year lease for operating the city-owned Conway Marina after impressing the city with their plans over several other interested firms. They’ve hit the ground running, taking over on March 1 and diving into kicking off operations!

Waterfront Vibes and Exciting Amenities

Focusing on providing top-notch waterfront bar and grill services, the team aims to create a vibrant venue filled with tropical drinks, and plenty of live entertainment. Expect to groove to live bands and DJ tunes, as the venue will feature an **outdoor stage** perfect for unforgettable performances!

As the summer season approaches, the marina team is hard at work ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. They are set to ramp up full operations just in time for the much-anticipated Riverfest in late June.

All Your Boating Needs in One Place

If you’re a boater or just love being around the water, you’ll be thrilled to know that the Conway Outpost is catering to all your boating needs. Preparations in March included ensuring gas pumps were tested and fuel tanks filled, so you can fuel up and hit the water without a hitch!

The marina will also offer essential items such as marine batteries, mixed oils for your boat motors, fishing supplies, snacks, and refreshing drinks to keep you energized on your adventures. You won’t have to worry about a thing, as they will manage fees for two boat-launching ramps and provide overnight docks for transient boaters, along with operating a sewage pump station for boats.

Did we mention the marina has a total of 30 slips? All are currently rented, but there’s a whopping 84 names on the waiting list! The demand is clearly soaring, so if you’re looking to dock, stay patient!

Dining and Entertainment Galore

Four enthusiastic employees have already been hired, with plans in place to recruit another six to eight team members for the restaurant. This cozy dining spot is designed to accommodate 40 patrons, serving up a delicious menu featuring sandwiches and appetizers for lunch and dinner. If you’re in the mood to mix it up, there will also be food trucks on nearby leased lots, creating a diverse food experience for everyone.

Expect both an indoor bar and an inviting outdoor tiki bar that will surely become the go-to place for relaxation after a day on the water. The city is even contributing to improvements by adding new fuel pumps and fresh paint along the charming Riverwalk, making this spot even more picturesque!

Exciting Future Plans

Looking ahead, the marina management has exciting plans in the works, including paving the gravel parking lot for a more polished look. They’re also looking forward to introducing a new fleet of rental kayaks and canoe rentals, providing another way to explore the beautiful waterways. Although jet skis won’t be available due to safety concerns, there will still be plenty of opportunities for fun on the water!

Not just limited to rentals, visitors can enjoy narrated excursions on a pontoon boat along the scenic Waccamaw River, with tours lasting between one to two hours. Plus, electric bicycles will soon be available for rent once the nearby bike path is complete—perfect for exploring the area on two wheels!

With typical operating hours set from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, the Conway Outpost is ready to usher in a new chapter at Conway Marina, promising a fun-filled destination for everyone.
