Hey Myrtle Beach friends! As we step into the week, it’s safe to say that the cooler weather has finally decided to pay us a visit. You might have noticed a bit of a chill in the air, and let me tell you, it’s not planning on leaving anytime soon! So, if you’ve been looking forward to cozying up with a warm beverage, this is your moment!
Tonight marks the beginning of this cold snap, as a reinforcing shot of chilly weather sweeps in across the Carolinas. Expect that northwest breeze to bring temperatures plunging down into the lower to middle 40s inland and around upper 40s to near 50 along our beautiful beaches. So, if you have evening plans, don’t forget to throw on your favorite jacket!
Now, let’s talk about Wednesday! The cold air is really going to settle in and make its presence known as a secondary cold front moves through. The day will start off with a bit more cloud cover, and that breezy wind will definitely be a factor, especially in the first half of the day. Get ready for the coolest day we’ve felt since March, with temperatures climbing only into the low 60s across most areas.
As we head into the night, it’s going to get even colder! We’re talking about some of the coldest nights of the week with clear skies. Expect those temperatures to drop down into the upper 30s in inland areas by Thursday and Friday morning, while our lovely beaches will see lows in the middle 40s. So be sure to keep the blankets close!
Thursday isn’t looking much warmer, with afternoon highs only creeping up into the lower 60s. While it’s ideal for bundling up in layers, it’s also a great excuse to prioritize some indoor activities or perhaps visit your favorite café for a warm drink!
But don’t worry, Myrtle Beach! The weekend will bring some much-needed relief from the chill. The forecast shows milder weather making a gradual comeback. Expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures bouncing back into the 70s—now that’s more like it! Mornings will still run cool, but at least we’ll have the comfort of warmer afternoons to look forward to.
With this weekend shaped to be so pleasant, it’s a great time to plan some outdoor fun! Whether it’s hitting the beach, taking a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk, or enjoying some fresh seafood at a local eatery, make sure to soak up the beautiful weather while it lasts.
In the meantime, stay warm, Myrtle Beach! Keep your jackets handy and enjoy the cozy vibes that come with this chilly weather. Remember, it’s all temporary, and soon enough we’ll be back to sunny skies and warmer temps!
