CCU campus ‘all clear’ after 911 call at science building

911 Alert Cleared on Campus

Conway, S.C. – Earlier today, the Coastal Carolina University had issued an all-clear alert after a 911 call had prompted an immediate response from the local law enforcement. The campus police had been alerted to a situation at the Smith Science building. Following investigations conducted by the concerned authorities, an “\all clear\” was officially issued.

Details about the Call

A 911 call had put the university on high alert prompting an immediate police response at the science building. The nature of the emergency call, however, has not been disclosed. Responding units from the local police department performed a thorough investigation following the call.

Normal Operations Resume

Campus operations, which were briefly disrupted during the course of the investigation, have resumed to their normal state. Staff and students were swiftly informed about the lift on the alert, allowing studies and other operational duties to proceed uninterrupted. The university has also reached out to remind everyone on campus of the importance of being aware and consistently vigilant to maintain campus security.

Commendable Actions of Campus Police

The campus police’s quick response to the emergency call prevented what could potentially have been a dangerous situation. Their speedy intervention can be commended in ensuring the safety and security of the students and the staff of the university. Coastal Carolina University’s commitment towards offering a safe and secure learning environment for its students has time and again been proven.
