BJ’s Wholesale Club to Debut in Horry County, Partners with Community Food Bank

The national bulk shopping club, BJ’s Wholesale, is launching a new store this fall in Carolina Forest, simultaneously announcing a partnership with the local food bank.

The eagerly anticipated store opening will not only bring great deals and discounts for local shoppers but also contribute significantly to boosting the local economy. BJ’s Wholesale is projected to create over 100 jobs in the Horry County by the end of the year.

Lowcountry Food Bank representative, Mark McGilvery, expressed his organization’s immense gratitude and excitement about partnering with BJ’s Wholesale. “We’re going to be able to utilize all of the product that we rescue from the store to support our neighbors in need incredibly locally. 15 minutes this way, 20 minutes that way, five minutes down the road. It’s gonna change the trajectory of people’s lives right here in the local community,” said McGilvery.
