Habitat for Humanity Expands ReStore in Horry County

In a major move aimed at expanding the accessibility to home improvement and construction supplies, Habitat for Humanity has opened a new ReStore in North Myrtle Beach. The reputable non-profit organization is known for its ReStores, which aids its cause by selling donated building materials, furniture, appliances, and other household items at significantly reduced prices. The newly inaugurated outlet located in Horry County is now ready to serve residents from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.

A Grand Opening

The official opening of the latest ReStore took place on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina outlet is the county’s second ReStore, thus providing more opportunities for locals to hunt for treasured finds and contribute to a worthy cause.

What is a ReStore?

A Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells a wide variety of new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Money raised by Habitat ReStores helps local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat homes within their communities.

Contributing to the Cause

All items in a Habitat for Humanity ReStore are donated by individuals, businesses, and contractors who wish to make a difference in the community. All proceeds made through the sales directly fund Habitat’s mission, creating a sustainable and circular system that benefits Horry County residents.

Excitement Builds

With the new location now officially open, the excitement among local residents is palpable. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore doesn’t just act as a center for repurposing items and supporting the home improvement needs of the community, but it’s also a hub where people can come together for a common purpose. Thanks to the consistent local support, more people will now have the opportunity to become homeowners or improve their homes at affordable prices.

Welcoming Donations

The second ReStore in North Myrtle Beach is now welcoming donations. Community members and businesses who are keen to clear out renovated materials, improve the community’s housing situation or simply extend their goodwill can donate their unused or gently used items directly to the ReStore. Every donation brings Habitat for Humanity one step closer to their mission of ensuring decent, affordable housing for everyone.

The new North Myrtle Beach ReStore is a testament to the persistent efforts of Habitat for Humanity and the generous community of Horry County. It stands as a beacon of sustainable living and giving, fostering a vibrant, loving community where everyone can build a better life.
