Greek Festival Celebration

Get Ready for the 33rd Annual Greek Festival in Myrtle Beach!

Hey Myrtle Beach! Have you heard the exciting news? The 33rd Annual Greek Festival is back in town, and it’s kicking off at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church located just off Highway 17. This year’s festival promises to be another fantastic celebration of all things Greek, and boy, are we in for a treat!

Festival Fun for Everyone!

The festival opened its doors on Thursday, inviting families and friends to join in on the fun. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you can dive right into a vibrant atmosphere filled with Greek culture and flavors that will make your taste buds dance.

The lineup includes all the typical festival favorites, but what’s a Greek festival without some delicious food? Expect to enjoy mouth-watering traditional dishes like grape leaves, juicy gyros, and a range of sweet and savory treats that will keep you coming back for more. Whether you’re a fan of savory pastries or sweet baklava, there’s something for everyone!

A Dedicated Community Event

This year, the festival is also dedicated to helping out a sister church that faced tough times due to Hurricane Helene. The church in Asheville, North Carolina, had to put their own festival plans on hold and shared their prepared food with the local community instead. In a show of solidarity, the folks at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church have decided to donate all admission fees from this festival to help them rebuild and recover. Vice President Dean Morris shared that it’s all about coming together as a community during these tough times.

Family-Friendly Activities

It’s not just about the food—there’s loads of fun to be had for kids and adults alike! With bounce houses and children’s activities, the little ones will be entertained while parents can relax and enjoy the festivities. Whether you want to teach the kids about Greek culture or just enjoy a day out in the sun, this festival has got you covered.

When and Where to Go

The Greek Festival is running Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. So make sure to grab your family and friends and plan to enjoy a day packed with culture, delicious food, and community spirit. It’s a perfect chance to embrace something new while enjoying your beautiful Myrtle Beach surroundings!
